I understand. When you think of a travel agent you picture a middle-aged lady sitting at a desk wearing a headset booking trip after trip. She is in a cramped office with travel brochures and posters all over the walls and table tops. She does everything “old school” like issuing paper tickets, printing off itineraries and booking you into only the large traditional travel companies because that is where she makes her money. But… this image you have could not be farther from the truth. Most people traveling have a preconceived idea of travel agents and think they can book travel better themselves, or worse that agents are no longer needed. Here are some myths about travel agents and why you need us now more than ever.
